Global eBusiness Leaders Join Forces with eCustomer World 2001

TORONTO, January 10, 2001 - The eCustomerWorld.com Institute is pleased to announce the debut of its latest eBusiness venue: eCustomer World 2001, a multi-faceted event to be held in Toronto, Canada, in early October 2001. eCustomer World is poised to become the premier eBusiness event in Canada.

eCustomer World has gained the support of six leading global suppliers in the eBusiness industry, who joined the event as Platinum Sponsors: EDS, Nortel Networks, Onyx Software, Oracle Corporation, SAP and Siebel Systems. Carrying the theme, "Proven, Practical and Profitable eBusiness Strategies for Growth and Prosperity", the event is expected to attract over 100 exhibitors and a national audience of more than 4,000 executives and eBusiness decision makers.

"The deployment of B2B eCommerce and CRM is exploding around the world. It is crucial that Canada's business executives be aware of emerging global eBusiness opportunities and have the knowledge to capitalize on them," said Jacob Gordon, president of the eCustomerWorld.com Institute and chairman of eCustomer World 2001. Worldwide B2B eCommerce is projected to surpass US$7.29 trillion in 2004 (GartnerGroup), while Canadian on-line B2B trade is expected to reach C$272 billion in 2005 (Forrester Research). "We are very pleased to welcome our sponsors on board," said Gordon. " Their leadership and support will help Canada improve its competitiveness in global eBusiness economy."

eCustomer World 2001 will showcase the business strategies & IT solutions that have become the cornerstone of successful customer interactions in the new eBusiness economy. It will highlight the challenge of transforming and adapting traditional business models to the new economy both successfully and profitably -- a challenge faced by today's corporate executives.

eCustomer World 2001 will feature two conferences and expositions under one roof:

  • CRMPower 2001 - Canada's Customer Relationship Management Show, which will focus on the widespread proliferation of CRM technologies, applications and solutions in the eBusiness marketplace; and
  • B2BPower 2001 - Canada's Business-to-Business eCommerce Show, which will focus on the successful e-enablement of traditional brick-and-mortar business operations.

These two shows represent the hottest two market segments in eBusiness today. Staging these two educational events side by side will generate tremendous synergy to the benefit of conference delegates, expo visitors and exhibitors alike, primarily because the deployment and implementation of CRM and B2B technologies and applications are often intertwined.

eCustomer World 2001 provides unmatched educational and networking opportunities to all eBusiness executives. Conference delegates will have the option to attend either conference or to purchase a premium pass that provides unlimited and unrestricted crossover privileges between the two conference programs.

In a related announcement, the eCustomerWorld.com Institute is also pleased to welcome SAS as a Gold Sponsor of CRMPower 2001.
